L'Oreal denies Beyonce Knowles light skin colour reports

Cosmetics company L'Oreal denies that it has changed Beyonce Knowles complexion and hair colour in their new ad campaign. The company got into controversy when a Beyonce picture showing her complexion lighter and reddish-blonde hair was published in Elle magazine. Thesun.co.uk reports that various newspapers have slammed the promotional picture for Feria hair colour. The editor of Britain's The Voice said: "There is an attitude in the modelling industry that black models do not sell. Models that end up in magazines tend to be very, very light-skinned or Asian. It appears Beyonce has been the victim of that kind of attitude. If it is true, I cannot understand why anyone would want to do anything so ridiculous. It is offensive to Beyonce. It is trying to distort who she is." "It is categorically untrue that L'Oreal Paris altered Beyonce's features or skin tone in the campaign for Feria hair colour," said a L'Oreal spokesperson.
