However, Cyrus has denied the reports, stating that she intends to continue working with the show that made her an actress and is excited about the upcoming episodes.

Renee Zellweger opens up about her breast cancer scare

American actress Renee Zellweger has revealed that the breast cancer scare she got has made her sit up, and take notice of the disease. The first time Zellweger noticed that there was something wrong was when she examined her breasts on her own in 1996, and found two small masses in her right breast. The Bridget Jones’s Dairy star, who had lost her grandmother to cancer in 1969, decided to get them checked up.

“I thought, ‘Oh, I know what you do now. You find out what that is’. So I went and found out,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling America's Self magazine. Zellweger revealed that she made an appointment with her doctor in Los Angeles, and went to his clinic with a no-nonsense attitude.

“I was like, ‘Let's just have it over with. Get in there, stab away, get your little crunchy bit or whatever you're looking for, put it in the mail and we'll call it a day’. “Then I had a weird couple of days waiting for the phone call,” she recalled. When the test results came, it was discovered that the actress had fibroadenomas (benign breast tumours), which she calls, "a fancy word for nothing". But even though she has nothing to fear from the lumps in her breast, she has decided to take cancer threats more seriously. “I pay attention, I do go get my check-ups,” she added.

Jamie Lynn Spears’ stolen picture sparks porn probe

A stolen picture of Britney Spears’ teenage sister Jamie Lynn breast-feeding her daughter has prompted a federal pornography investigation. According to the US Gossip website TMZ, federal and local authorities are on the look out for the man who tried to sell 12 family pictures.

The pictures include shots of the teen mother and elder sis, Britney, originally taken by the infant’s father, Casey Aldridge. Aldridge took pictures in the memory card so that they could be developed at his local Wal-Mart in Louisiana, reports The Sun.

However, authorities believe that a Wal-Mart employee made extra copies and then tried to sell them.

One of the pictures exposes the left breast of Jamie Lynn feeding her daughter, Maddie.

Since Jamie is a minor, selling her exposed pictures—or buying them—could violate federal laws that prohibit pornography, even if they were not marketed for sexual reasons.

Bruni sings to 'kind Nicolas' in the middle of the night

The president of France is sometimes woken up in the middle of the night by his pop singer wife with her songs - and he doesn’t mind. Nicolas Sarkozy’s wife Carla Bruni, a celebrated former model turned singer-songwriter, said the president is “very kind” about her music. "He’s involved with my music because I play it at home and I disturb him with it in the middle of the night," she told a popular British television music programme, "Later… with Jools Holland". "He doesn’t drive me mad… It's a very different world for him but he's very kind and listens to all my doubts," added Bruni, who appeared alongside rock acts Metallica and King of Leon. Bruni told the BBC programme presenter Jools Holland, a well-known British rock pianist, that politicians “need music” but that she kept her music life apart from her role as the French first lady. "I don't really mix them up. I sort of separate them. I play my music and then I go with my husband when he needs me." "They have a very tough job, and we have a very lovely job. Our job is not even like a job, it’s a pleasure - I can feel it tonight. I think they need music to relax, to feel good. Everyone needs music, even them.” "I have my husband's world," she said. "It's like I just try to be with him and be cool about it and not change everything I know and my way of living. "It's not so hard. It's just like playing in a film." Bruni, 40, sang Tu Es Ma Came, for the programme, translating it as: "You're my junk, you're my type, you're my cup of tea." It was about "being addicted to someone in a toxic way and in a lovely way", she said. The programme was shown live on September 16 but an extended version will be broadcast on Friday, September 19.

Matt Damon, Wyclef Jean visit Haiti city in ruins

Cries of adulation—and hunger—followed Haitian-born singer Wyclef Jean and actor Matt Damon as they toured flood-ravaged Gonaives on Sunday to call attention to widespread suffering in the marooned city. Tropical Storm Hanna and Hurricane Ike submerged the Haitian city and cut off roadways. Where waters have receded, streets remain a stinking mud bath and homes are carpeted with muck and encrusted pots, pans and laundry. "I'm speechless, I can't believe it," said Damon, looking down from a UN helicopter at people living on the rooftops of flooded homes. The four-hour visit passed in a blur of stenches, colours and noise. A man on a bicycle tried to keep up with Damon and Jean's truck, shouting, "I love you, Wyclef." Jean raised his hand, but couldn't smile back. "It's inhumane. I wish there was a word in the dictionary. No human should be living like this," said Jean, who became famous through his Grammy-winning band, The Fugees, and later emerged as a solo artist. As they turned onto the flooded Rue Christophe, another pickup packed with women sloshed within arm's reach. Face-to-face with the celebrities, the women cried, "We're hungry!" A young man calf-deep in water raised both arms and shouted, "Fix our roads. Fix our city!" Damon and Jean encouraged help for the United Nations to raise more than $100 million for 800,000 Haitians in need after four tropical storms and hurricanes have struck the country since mid-August. Jean's Yele Haiti charity is helping the World Food Program and the Organization of American States-affiliated Pan American Development Foundation distribute food to 3,000 families. The convoy visited a school shelter on Sunday to hand out cooking oil and bags of beans. Proud and tumultuous Gonaives is where Haiti declared independence from France in 1804 as the world's first black republic. Bloody 1985 protests led to the downfall of the father-son Duvalier dictatorship and in 2004 a deadly march fomented the ouster of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. Fears that unrest is simmering here has led UN officials to distribute food at night under Argentine soldiers' guard. Haitian officials have discussed building new settlements for vulnerable residents above the current city. Once emergency aid started arriving four days after the storm, the UN agencies began ratcheting up food distributions to reach as many as 12,000 people a day. More than 120,000 people are in shelters in the Artibonite region, which includes Gonaives, desperate for water and food, the Haitian government reported. Damon and Jean waded through knee-deep floodwaters and climbed a stage outside the Gonaives cathedral, where 500 people have taken refuge in the choir gallery. The pair did not go into the cathedral, but Jean sang for a few minutes to a crowd outside. When he later tried to leave, people swept him into the streets. Admirers, some asking for money, clung to UN trucks as they drove away.
