Freida Pinto thanks mentor Barry John for success

Freida Pinto, who became a star overnight by featuring in multiple award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, gives credit to her mentor Barry John for bringing out the actor in her.

"I'm grateful to Danny Boyle for giving me my debut film Slumdog Millionaire, which has won three Golden Globe awards and has been nominated for 10 Oscars this year, but before that I'm thankful to my teacher Barry John-sir who taught me how to bring out the actor in me and portray the character so convincingly," said Freida.

Barry John's Acting Studio has been the springboard for several actors including superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Manoj Bajpai, Shiney Ahuja and Kunal Kapoor.

‘Stressed out’ Pete Wentz often feels like ditching music career

Fame is so stressful for Pete Wentz that he often feels like ditching his music career and disappearing with family.

In fact, the Fall Out Boy star has admitted that at times he feels like signing himself and wife Ashlee Simpson for a Newlyweds-style reality show, in order to make enough money for retirement. "Sometimes I think Ashlee and I should do Newlyweds 2, take that f**k-you money and move to an island somewhere. Just disappear,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling Blender magazine. However, Wentz admitted he could never disappear for real "partly because I'd be f**king over a lot of people (and) I'd probably miss the lights too much."

Lily Allen hunting for rich sugar daddy

Pop star Lily Allen is these days busy searching for love – and her biggest condition in the ‘must-have’ list is that he should be rich.

The reason behind the “richie-marathon” is that Allen wants to fulfil her dream of moving out of London and start a family again.

At the end of 2006, the crooner went through a miscarriage before ending her romance with Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons, who was the father of the baby.

However, the singer hasn’t yet given up on finding happiness in love and as a mum, and has claimed that she'll get serious about settling down after making hits for another four years.

"Then (I'll) try to find someone to fall in love with, have another go at having children, and move somewhere else. If I had a partner, I'd move now,” Contactmusic quote Allen as telling Spin magazine.

In fact, she is so sure of what she’s looking for in her man that she could pen a personal ad to find him. "Slightly insecure and needy pop star seeks nice guy... Good sense of humour. Not a f**king retard. Rich,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Paris Hilton thinks TV chef is British PM

Socialite Paris Hilton showed off her ignorance recently when she thought celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was the British prime minister.

Thesun.co.uk reports that Hilton was in London to launch her new show Paris Hilton's British Best Friend for ITV2 and she had no idea where Essex was or ever heard of a pint.

She said: "I love Britain. London is my favourite city in the world." But when asked if she knew who the British prime minister was, she replied, "Yes, it's Gordon Ramsay, isn't it?"

Her knowledge of British drinking habits was equally bad. She confessed: "No, I've not heard of a pint - what it that? Is it beer?" And in the show she tells one hopeful she is unfamiliar with the girl’s home county, inquiring: “Essex? What’s that?” Thousands auditioned for the show before Paris and producers whittled it down to 12 wannabes. One will be evicted each week with her telling them, "TTYN" (Talk To You Never).
