LOS ANGELES, Calif. - “The Hills” star Lauren Conrad might be on television’s hottest reality show, but her clothing line is getting the cold shoulder from shoppers.Lauren’s self-titled line, the Lauren Conrad collection, has been dropped by trendy Robertson Boulevard boutique Kitson, Access Hollywood has confirmed. The celeb-frequented clothing store has donated some of “The Hills” star’s unsold clothing to charity, after they sat on the rack.
Kitson attempted to sell more of her clothes with a buy one, get one free offer, but shoppers were apparently not enticed with the idea of double dose of LC couture. The unsold items were donated to Kathleen’s Closet, an organization that provides prom dresses for girls who can’t afford them and a women’s shelter. The remaining unsold Conrad duds were shipped to storage. As for LC’s rival, Heidi Montag, she told Access Hollywood’s Dish of Salt, Laura Saltman last month, her line for Anchor Blue was doing well. “It’s the number one selling clothing line so it’s going well,” Heidi told Laura. “[It’s sold in] Kitson and all the Anchor Blue stores.”
