Calum Best to be interviewed by cops in rape case

Former fashion model Calum Best is to be interviewed by cops after a woman claimed to have been raped while he was asleep just a few feet away.

As per the woman, she and a female friend of hers met the Love Island winner and another man in a bar, and they invited both men back to their flat in Fulham, West London.

They all sat and drank for an hour before the girls retired to bed early on March 12, and Best and the other man slept in the living room.

The victim, who is in her 20’s, told detectives how she woke up to find the other man raping her, while Best, 28, was asleep nearby.

She said that she fled into the living room, woke up Best and told him what had happened.

She later called the police and was interviewed by detectives, reports the Sun. Hammersmith and Fulham Police later arrested fashion promoter Tim Wade, 35, of Ladbroke Grove, West London. He was charged with rape and remanded in custody at West London Magistrates Court on March 16.

Wade will appear at Kingston Crown Court on May 29, and detectives have arranged for Best to give a statement at Fulham Police Station.

Natasha Richardson brain dead after ski accident

Actress Natasha Richardson was reported to be brain dead late Tuesday after a seemingly innocuous fall while skiing on a bunny slope at the Mont Tremblant resort in Canada.

Richardson's family declined to comment on her condition and speculation swirled as to her condition.

The New York Post quoted friends of the family as saying that the British-born actress, 45, was being transported from a Montreal hospital to New York so that her family and friends could say goodbye before she is taken off life support. Fox news and E! Online reported similar stories.

A reporter for the Toronto Star saw Richardson being taken from the hospital on an intensive care bed, heavily wrapped in blankets and with tubes covering her face. She was flown back to New York on a private jet.

According to a spokesperson for the ski resort, Richardson fell during a private lesson Monday on a beginners' slope while not wearing a helmet. She managed to walk back to her room and was laughing and joking. But she was taken to hospital an hour later when she started having headaches.

"She did not show any visible sign of injury, but the ski patrol followed strict procedures and brought her back to the bottom of the slope and insisted she should see a doctor," said a statement from the resort, which is some 125 km north-west of Montreal.

Richardson is a member of the Redgrave acting dynasty and wife of actor Liam Neeson, who left a Toronto movie shoot to be at her side in Montreal, the CTV network reported.

Neeson and Richardson have been married since 1994 and have two sons, Micheal Richard Antonio, 13, and Daniel Jack, 12, who were reportedly skiing with her when the accident happened.

Richardson won a Tony Award for playing Sally Bowles in a Broadway production of Cabaret in 1998. She has starred in Nell, The Parent Trap and more than 30 film and television productions.

Jenna Jameson gives birth to twins

Porn star Jenna Jameson and her boyfriend of two years, Tito Ortiz, have become proud parents of twin boys.

"They're in very good health," her rep told Us magazine.

The good news came on Monday.

"She's been taking it easy and even had to be in a wheelchair during one of Tito's events in Las Vegas," a source had revealed when Jameson was just shy of eight months pregnant.

"She's very excited to be a mom,” the source added.

Brit actor Robert Pattinson was recently overheard saying that he has been having a hard time trying to get laid in NYC.

The Twilight star was at Nur Khan’s Rosebar on March 14 when he made the comment.

“I can’t get laid [in NYC]” the New York Daily News quoted him as telling a friend.

The pal retorted, “A blind person with a British accent could get tail.”

After a while, the actor was approached by a cute brunette, who started fawning over him. “I’ll be back,” he said, while at the same time stuffing his beer into his jacket pocket before walking out.

Mickey Rourke visits Russian prison for forthcoming flick

Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke is totally determined to get the portrayal of his role as the villain in the Iron Man sequel right, and so he visited the Russian prison to research his character.

The Golden Globe award-winning actor, who is all set to play the Russian super-villain Whiplash in the flick, visited Moscow to get into the mindset of a former Eastern Bloc baddie.

The Wrestler actor visited Butyrka prison in Moscow, met guards there, and even asked them to lock him up for a brief moment.

However, Iron Man director Jon Favreau refused to confirm reports that Rourke was his Whiplash.

"The people that have deals should all be finalized in our cast this week. There are no big surprises in casting coming that I can foresee,” Contactmusic quoted Jon as saying.

Meanwhile, Iron Man star Robert Downey, Jr. has been fighting to get Rourke in the sequel for months.

Ashley Tisdale vows never to date Hollywood actors

Actress Ashley Tisdale has decided never to date Hollywood actors, as she cannot stand their inflated egos.

The High School Musical actress, who is currently dating High School Musical tour dancer Jared Murillo, revealed that she has dated actors in the past.

Tisdale also said that top class celebs were totally self-obsessed.

She said that the actors were not actually sensitive like their characters they play.

"Some of them are just so into themselves. You fall in love with their characters... and then you realize they're just not as sensitive,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Cosmopolitan magazine.

Pop star Beyonce Knowles has revealed that her husband Jay-Z has been the only man in her life – romantically.

The 27-year-old singer, who likes to keep her love life under warps, started dating the rapper in 2002 and the pair tied the knot in a secret ceremony in New York last year.

Knowles has admitted that she has never suffered a broken heart - because her relationship with Jay-Z is her only romance.

"Fortunately I haven't had any breakups! This is my first relationship,” the Daily Star quoted her, as telling LA Confidential Magazine, "We were together for a really long time before we got married; we were in no rush," she added.

And the singer has claimed that, contrary to media reports, their relationship is strong,

Mayer’s ‘£2m engagement ring’ for Aniston

John Mayer is said to have splashed out 2 million pounds on an engagement ring for actress girlfriend Jennifer Aniston.

The musician is reported to have contacted US jeweller Lorraine Schwartz about designing a special engagement ring.

According to reports, Mayer had presented Aniston with a commitment ring during their Valentine's Day break in Barbados, reports The China Daily.

And now, a source said: "Money is no object for John. He is creating a vintage-style classic ring for Jennifer. He's looking at 18-carat flawless diamond so he will have to pay around 2 million pounds.

"When he does get down on one knee he wants to be completely sure he gets the right answer and he knows a ring like that would be hard to refuse."

The 31-year-old musician is refusing to rush into the proposal and is working tirelessly to ensure everything is perfect when he asks Jennifer, 40, to be his wife. The source added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "He's just waiting for the most romantic setting to put the ring on her finger - busy schedules permitting."

Chris Brown's manager denies having sexual relationship with him

Singer Chris Brown's manager Tina Davis has finally shot down suggestions that she had a sexual relationship with her client, and that it was her racy text message that triggered the row between him and Rihanna.

A report on TMZ.com recently suggested that it was a text message from Tina that initiated the alleged attack on Rihanna by Brown.

However, Tina claims that she only has a strictly professional relationship with Brown, and nothing more than that.

"The relationship between Ms Davis and Mr Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false," the New York Daily News quoted her lawyer Marshall Grossman as saying.

"There are no e-mails between Ms Davis and Mr Brown of the type which have been described in media reports," the lawyer added.

The identity of the texter still remains unidentified, as neither Rihanna nor Brown are ready to reveal the true facts about the alleged attack and what actually triggered it.

"Rihanna is just not talking to the people on her team. Chris also isn't talking to his management. Everyone is waiting for them to clear up all the questions and reports. But neither of them is communicating," a source said.

Meanwhile, the Umbrella hitmaker made her very first outing to celebrate her belated birthday, after hitting the headlines for allegedly being attacked by Brown and left with horrific injuries.

"She was in great spirits having a ton of fun," a source said.

However, Brown was not in attendance at Rihanna's belated birthday celebration. "No sign of Chris Brown," the source added.

Jolie trying to lose 9.5kg in 21 days for film Salt

If reports are to be believed, Angelina Jolie is trying to shed 9.5kg in 21 days for a role in her new movie Salt.

In the film, the actress plays a CIA assassin called Evelyn Salt who is forced to disguise herself as a man.

The shooting of the film has started in Washington DC, where she has been seen running through the streets of the city wearing a blonde wig for the role.

"To play a man convincingly Angelina is adamant she needs to lose her curves," News.com.au quoted a source, as saying.

According to friends, Jolie is so determined to look like a boy she has turned to the Martha's Vineyard Detox Diet to help shrink her already slender frame.

The extreme diet - which was popular in Hollywood in 2007 - encourages followers to ingest liquids every two hours to 'cleanse the body'. Solid food is strictly prohibited.

According to reports, the 33-year-old started her detox three days before last month's Oscars and is already battling fatigue.

Another source told Britain's Grazia magazine, "She has been trying to go for the full 21 days but it's tough.

"She's lost around eight pounds (3.6kg) but is now introducing a couple of small meals in between shakes as she was starting to feel weak," the source added.

Jolie's role was originally intended for Tom Cruise, but the character was rewritten after he dropped out.

How Jessica Simpson got rid of her ‘curvy’ figure

She may have created a media furore over her apparent “weight gain”, but Jessica Simpson has silenced all her critics by appearing in svelte shape in just a matter of weeks.

The singer’s long-time personal trainer Mike Alexander has said that just being busy with daily rehearsals and shows has helped her get back into tip-top shape.

According to Alexander, Simpson’s pictures from over a month ago were "very unfortunate and flattered all the wrong angles," but were taken at the beginning of her current tour with country crooners Rascal Flatts.

"The whole thing wasn’t as traumatic for Jessica as everyone made it out to be. She’s a confident and naturally beautifully girl who works hard,” Fox News quoted him as saying.

He added: "Jessica is now at the end of her tour and looks great. It’s not easy to have a super strict diet when you are touring so you just have to make the best of the restaurants you go too but she knows what to eat and what not too and we talk about all of that.”

Alexander further said that the songstress’ biggest weaknesses in the past had been her love of fried southern comfort food, a good hearty steak and Mexican.

But, in order to stay in shape, Simpson reportedly stays away from "white" foods like wheat and flour and goes for the whole grain option instead, while ensuring her three main meals and snacks are protein-based.

For exercise, she does 30 minutes of resistance training 4-6 days per week on top of all the calorie burning she gets by being on stage every night, revealed Alexander.

"It is all about consistency," he said. He also said that once Jessica is back in LA Jessica would be back on track with her usual routine and gym visits.

Penelope Cruz turns blonde for new flick

Spanish actress Penelope Cruz has turned into a blonde for her role in the upcoming drama Los Abrazos Rotos.

Director Pedro Almodovar has revealed that he did not want the actress' trademark dark and dishevelled hairstyle for the film.

Instead, he opted for a sleek platinum blonde wig - and even managed to convince Cruz to squeeze into a red latex minidress and fishnet tights to complete her dramatic metamorphosis.

"Before beginning the tests for my film I had already decided to avoid the dishevelled styles, inspired by Sophia Loren, which suit Penelope so well. After seeing the photo from Vicky Cristina Barcelona, I was even more convinced about my decision,” Contactmusic quoted Almodovar, as saying.

"I want to try not to repeat hairstyles that Penelope has worn in other films. I really enjoy reinventing her, discovering the number of characters that reside within our beautiful and versatile leading lady," Almodovar added.

Isla Fisher has said that her fiance Sacha Baron Cohen is the perfect dad, because he makes their young daughter break into fits of laughter.

Isla, who still hasn’t decided upon a wedding date, gave birth to Olive in October 2007.

And she is so delighted to see Cohen take to fatherhood that she can’t stop raving about his parenting skills.

Animal lover Pink upset over Britney’s Circus

Pop singer Pink is apparently upset with Britney Spears’ idea of hiring real-life elephants to appear in her upcoming Circus tour.

The 29-year-old singer, real name Alecia Beth Moore, is a PETA campaigner and is strongly against animals being harmed or used for entertainment.

According to a source, at Pink’s Funhouse tour, she is not too pleased with the reports that Spears will be using animals in her tour.

"Pink is really angry at the idea of elephants being carted around on tour, especially with the loud music, lights and craziness that generally ensues on a tour of any kind,” the Daily Star quoted the source as saying.

"But she's waiting to see if the rumour about using animals is true and what Britney will be doing with the animals before judging," the source added.
