She played a kick-ass, crime-fighting angel in
2003's Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, a journalist who goes
undercover at her high school in the 1999 classic Never Been Kissed, and
she has even played a woman with short-term memory loss in the Adam
Sandler romantic comedy 50 First Dates (2004). But now Drew Barrymore is
trying out a new role: that of real-life mother. Barrymore, 37, and her
husband Will Kopelman, 34, welcomed a bouncing baby girl on September
26, People reports.
The couple told People, ""We are proud to announce
the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born Sept. 26th,
healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family. Thank you for
respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives."
Barrymore is on her way to creating a whole new life
for herself. First she wed Kopelman in June, now she is a first-time
mother. Hopefully Barrymore is prepared for this new role - as there's
no rehearsal period for motherhood.
