Sandra Bullock asked to return Razzie

Oscar-award winning actress Sandra Bullock has been asked to return her Golden Raspberry award for worst performing actress.

The 45-year-old was handed the Worst Actress Razzie last month for her role in All About Steve but the ceremony's founder John Wilson has urged Bullock to give back the prize because she was handed the original trophy, which is worth thousands of dollars, instead of a replica version intended for her, reports express.co.uk.

"We are ready to take the unprecedented step of asking a winner to return a Razzie. As Sandra was in such a rush after winning Worst Actress she ran off with the original handmade prototype which has been present at ceremonies since the 1980s," said Wilson.

Sendhil Ramamurthy of Heroes fame in Gurinder Chadha's latest

The tall, dark and handsome hunk from Heroes, Sendhil Ramamurthy, is making heads turn even before the first look of Gurinder Chadha's It's a Wonderful Afterlife has been revealed in India.

The LA-based actor, who was recently cast as a CIA agent in the noted US spy drama Covert Affairs opposite Piper Perabo, was approached by Chadha in December 2008 for the role of Raj, opposite British-Indian debutant, Goldy Notay, who plays Roopie.

"Sendhil flew to London and we had lunch," informs Chadha. "He said he was determined to be in one of my films and happily he was perfect for the role; a good-looking out of towner who has not been in touch with Roopie and her family for a while. Sendhil was great on set, extremely disciplined and conscientious, and he made many a female heart flutter when he did a take - and some guys too!" she laughs.

Remarks Sendhil, "I had some time off between Season 3 and 4 of Heroes and that's exactly when Gurinder was shooting for Afterlife. She's very good with her actors and the film gave me the opportunity of doing something light and different from Suresh in Heroes."

Ramamurthy will attend the London premiere of It's a Wonderful Life on April 12, accompanied by his British wife and actress, Olga Sosnowska. The keenly awaited comedy, also starring Shabana Azmi, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Sally Hawkins in key roles, releases in the UK on April 21 and in India and Pakistan on May 7. It is an Indian Films and Bend It Films presentation in association with Studio 18.

Jessica Simpson hooked to chess

Singer Jessica Simpson, who has been rumoured to be dating singer Billy Corgan, has become addicted to chess after he taught her how to play. They like to take on each other on a regular basis.

"He taught her how to play and was surprised at how quickly she got the hang of it, but she is yet to beat him," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

Corgan recently revealed he "loves" Simpson but refused to comment further about their relationship.

"If I go, 'Oh, we're just friends,' then it's like, 'Did they go out, did he dump her or she dump him, what happened?' It has nothing to do with any of that. Sometimes people just like being around each other, and good things come out of that," said Corgan.

"My goal in life is to love whoever I think is worth loving, and I think if people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do. It's really simple," he added

Aniston irks Schwimmer with fiancee remarks

Hollywood actor David Schwimmer is angry with his former Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston after the actress said she doesn't know his fiancee's name on a television show.

Earlier this month, Schwimmer announced that he is set to marry his girlfriend of two years Zoe Buckman, but the actor was allegedly left humiliated when Aniston appeared on American host David Letterman's show and told him she had "no idea" who he was marrying, reports contactmusic.com.

After the incident, Schwimmer has reportedly refused to speak to Aniston.

"David was not impressed that one of his supposed friends didn't know who he was marrying. He has been with Zoe for a couple of years and was offended Jen couldn't remember her. He hasn't been taking her calls," said a source.
